Ball Ground City Gym
Located on Old Canton Road within walking distance of downtown Ball Ground, this historic indoor basketball gym has long been a cornerstone of the community. Originally acquired by the City of Ball Ground in 2012, the facility quickly became a hub for local athletics. By 2014, the gym was hosting more than 100 games annually, with practices taking place more than 200 days each year.
Now under the ownership of Cherokee Recreation & Parks, the Ball Ground City Gym marks the second historic gymnasium preserved and operated by Cherokee Recreation and Parks. This continued investment reflects our commitment to honoring community traditions while expanding access to quality recreational facilities across Cherokee County.
The facility remains available for team and individual rentals.
