Cherokee County Aquatic Center swimming lessons emphasize water safety and skill development in a safe fun environment.
Group swim lessons and private lessons are offered.
The Cherokee County Aquatic Center offers swim lessons for different age groups and swim levels. Unsure of your level? We offer a free skills check on the 2nd & 3rd Saturday of every month from 12:30 pm-1:00 pm at the Aquatic Center.
Group Lessons: The American Red Cross Water Safety program is offered at the Cherokee County Aquatic Center. The different courses seek to help participants of all ages and varying abilities develop familiarity with being in the water and learning basic skills for aquatic safety, survival, and recreational swimming while developing an awareness of how to stay safe in, or around water.
Levels offered: Parent/Child (6 months to 3 years), Preschool (3 years to 5 years), ARC Levels 1-5 (6 years to 12 years), Adult 1-2 (12 years and up).
Private Lessons: Available for ages 5 and up only. Please fill out our digital Private Lesson Request form.
Requests are filled on a first come first serve basis and are only scheduled once the group lesson schedule for the session has been determined.

July Session
- Registration Opens: Wednesday, June 24 at 9:00 AM
Morning Lessons (AM)
- Monday–Thursday for 2 weeks (8 lessons)
- Session 1: July 6 – July 16
- Session 2: July 20 – July 30
Evening Lessons (PM)
- Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday for 4 weeks (8 lessons)
- Dates: July 6 – July 30
Saturday Lessons
- Once a week for 4 weeks (4 lessons)
- Dates: July 11 – August 1
