Built in 1994, The WREC (Woodstock Recreation Center) is located within the South Government Annex just north of downtown Woodstock. The facility serves as the home base for Cherokee Recreation and Parks’ staff offices and offers a variety of indoor programs, classes, and community events for all ages.
Whether you’re joining a class, meeting with staff, or participating in one of our recreation programs, The WREC is where community connections and recreation come together.
Cherokee Recreation and Parks also operates The Buzz (L.B. “Buzz” Ahrens Jr. Recreation Center) in Canton, providing additional indoor recreation spaces, fitness opportunities, and community programming. Together, these facilities help us bring recreation and connection to every corner of Cherokee County.
