Outdoor Recreation Camps

The Natural Resources Division proudly offers a dynamic lineup of Outdoor Recreation Camps designed to connect youth and teens with nature through hands-on learning and outdoor adventure. Our camps build confidence, leadership skills, environmental awareness, and a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors, all while having fun. In addition, Natural Resources Parks manage and maintain our passive parks within Cherokee Recreation and Parks, ensuring safe, well-kept spaces for the community to enjoy.

Outdoor Spring Break Camp

Make This Spring Break Epic Outdoor Adventure Camp

Enjoy a week with fun-filled outdoor activities. Camp activities will include hiking, archery, fishing, kayaking, and climbing. All equipment is included. Bring your own lunch, snacks, and drinks.This camp will be for kids 9-13 that are interested in taking on outdoor and adventure-based activities over Spring Break!! We will have a fun filled week planned for the campers! Some activities will include a level of strength, coordination, and endurance. Some of the tentative activities will include hiking, kayaking, and fishing. Campers should bring lunch, water, and sunscreen daily.

Young anglers will get hooked on the sport of fishing during this experience. Due to the popularity of this camp, participants are allowed to register for only one Fishing Camp session per summer. Bring your own lunch, snacks, drinks, and sunscreen.

Take on the Wild—Teen Outdoor Adventure Camp Awaits!

Get your teen out of the house and get them active in Outdoor Adventure Camp! Campers will have the opportunity to seize the outdoors in adventure-based settings! We will take 5 different exciting and adventurous field trips each day. Activities tentatively will include indoor climbing, hiking/archery, kayaking, ropes course, and white-water rafting!

For kids ages 12-16.

Water Adventure Camp (Teen)

Get Soaked in Adventure at Water Camp

This week of camp will run out of the pavilion behind the WREC, which is where pick up and drop off will be. The address is 7545 Main Street Woodstock, GA 30188. Get your teen out of the house and come join us this summer for some fun filled water activities! Campers will have the opportunity to make new friends and bond together through 5 different water adventure field trips! Field trips tentatively will include water parks, Terminus Aqua Park, Lake Lanier Islands, kayaking, and white-water rafting! THESE TRIPS AND/OR SCHEDULE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE!
